House Red has got their hands on a few bottles of the newly released – red hot- 2005 syrahs from Charles Smith. The wacky, wild-haired Washingtonian behind K Vitners, and more recently his self-titled label has gained unprecedented critical praise for these wines, coming from the obscure Royal Slope in the Columbia Valley. This is the second vintage for these wines, produced in micro-quantities, and they are sure to sell out in no time. Each coming from a different section of the slope, these wines give new meaning to the term ‘hedonistic’. Rich, massive blockbusters, these puppies are built for the long haul. A guy named Parker has estimated their maturity at between 2017-2035, along with issuing them point values of ‘98’ and ‘99’ (out of 100, mind you). If you think you can handle these wines, what’s stopping you! We have two bottles each of ‘The Heart’ and ‘The Skull’, and ONE BOTTLE of the mighty ‘Old Bones’.  learn more
