Many Orthodox Christian celebrate New Year’s Day on January 14 in the Gregorian calendar. In honor of New Year we'll taste New Premium Wines from Old World like Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania.
Wine enthusiasts can often be heard discussing the merits of  classic
wines from the Old World — France, as an obvious example — or the latest
taste trends from New-World producers such as South Africa or New
Zealand. But what of new wines from countries located in regions
traditionally known as Old World, but not famous as wine producers?
Where does a merlot from Bulgaria fit in, or a Russian chardonnay? From
Serbia to Greece, a new crop of lesser-known wine producers is tapping
the potential of the travel retail channel to help raise international
awareness of their products with consumers.

House Red has partnered with chef Caleb Fortney to present 3 course + 3 wines demo live!!!
Caleb was the Head Chef at Caitie Girls in Springfield, IL...an  ecclectic, seasonal restaurant. Designed the menus and worked with
local farmers to creat "Local Flavors Menus".
Was the Tournant at
Maldaners, a French restaurant in Springfield, IL. Worked all
stations in the kitchen and worked under a classically trained French
chef. The weekly changing menus were that of farm-fresh, French and
Midwestern fusion.
Ever since he was able to reach the counter;
his hands were in food. His outlook is that if he is able to change
someone's food with one dish, he has accomplished his goal. In this
class, it might just be love at first bite.
