our story...

It all started with music.  Neb played trombone, Ivana played piano, Chris played violin and Tara learned how to play some guitar chords. Neb married Ivana, Chris married Tara. We were all friends and, along with good music, we found we share a passion for good wine. From this source came a vision of creating a place where we could explore fine wines and music with others. We wanted a confortable setting where people could gather, enjoy great wine and take a respite from the hectic pace of everyday life. A place where talented musicians could play to an intimate crowd while sharing wines created by equally talented, independent winemakers. We called it HouseRed. 

HouseRed opened its doors in October of 2006 as part of the vibrant Forest Park retail community. Within months we were fortunate to hire Isaiah, certified sommelier and then Jennifer, giving us an experienced staff pledged to providing excellent, personalized service to each of our customers.

At HouseRed, we taste every wine before giving it a home on our shelves - so we guide you from personal knowledge. We offer wines from around the globe at a wide range of price points, including an ever-expanding selection of organic and biodynamic wines.
